Malaysia Week was awesome!

Hey Guys,
I just came back from Pulau Redang and it was awesome! From the fish to the food. All of it was great and I don't recall any moments that were bad. I really want to share with you some of the memories that I know I will remember for a long time. First of all, it was beautiful there. The ocean was clear and blue and the fishes were gorgeous. I got to see angel fish and turtles and trigger fish and all these beautiful fish. The view from our rooms was beautiful and at night I could hear the waves crashing, I saw clown fish (NEMO!!) and the moray eel and all these other sorts of fish. Some fish were right in front of me that I could touch them, easily! In fact, I did touch a fish, a batfish. It nibbled my finger, so cute. I saw beautiful coral too. Brain coral and table coral and mushroom coral. I have to tell you that brain coral really DOES look like someone's brain. It's so cool. One night ALL the stars came out. Now, I don't know if it is usual for you guys to see all the stars come out each night, but I do know that, here in Malaysia, we rarely see many stars at all! So that night, when all the stars came out, I was amazed, fascinated by the view. All I wanted to do was call my friends to come and see, but I was so lazy so I just took a moment to sit in the hammock and watch the stars. All of them, scattered in the sky like diamonds, twinkling, waiting for me to grab them. That was probably one of the best parts on Malaysia Week, but there was so much more we did. One of them is when I fell over the hammock, well tripped over the hammock. It was hilarious, and everyone there saw me fall. It started off with Anya and I running to grab the hammock that I always used (my favorite hammock) and suddenly I saw Althea at the corner of my eye as she dropped everything in her hands and ran towards the closest hammock (not my favorite one). There were two hammocks, one which was my favorite and the other which Althea was about to grab. Now, three of us, Anya, Althea and I were running to grab a hammock before anyone else did. Althea, as I thought had grabbed the first one, knowing Anya and I were aiming to claim the other one. I leaped over the hammock that Althea took and into the sky....then I felt my leg get caught in a net. The hammock that Althea had took, and BAMM I fall, face-flat onto the ground. Right after the huge Bamm I heard Anya say, "MINE!" as she grabbed the other hammock. Suddenly, there was a moment of silence. As I got up I saw everyone staring at me in shock, then I said that I was fine. Still, everyone stared at me. My face shot red as my sponsor or teacher who came with me started laughing. Followed by him were other people that laughed, then 2 of my other friends walked by me and said, "Nice, Selena!". I burst into laughter as Althea and Anya did. THAT was hilarious! The boat ride. Ohh the boat ride there is something to remember. The whole way there (45 mins.) was like a rollar-coaster. It was as if we were in the air the whole time, coming down, crashing into the water then flying up again. The water had found its way into the boat as everyone was screaming with joy. First 20 mins. was great! The best ride I had been on in very, very long. But after that, it just got annoying. We were all used to it now and most of us was ready to puke. We got sicker and sicker every second until a storm came. Great! Mighty fine wasn't it? Now, our bags were wet, WE were wet and believe me all of our prayers were only about us getting to land. When we stopped. FINALLY! We came to teh soft, sandy beach and we kissed the ground. "LAND! I'M SO THANKFUL FOR YOU NOW!" we all had said and done. The boat ride back, was much, much more calm. So we were thankful for that. But for the whole week, we still dreaded the boat ride back. We also had some olympics on the last day. THAT was fun. We had groups and group names and anthems. We did all these different games and we all had fun, for sure!! The last activity was to make a sculpture out of sand. I had a fantastic idea to bury me! It didn't turn out so fantastic, but it was very creative. THAT is for certain. They made me a mermaid with the fins and all. It was pretty creative. My group was very proud of their craftswork. Well, that pretty much covers up the fun memories. I hope you know a little bit more about Malaysia Week now! BYE!
xoxo,
Selena
