A simple movement or form could change the world to be a calmer, more intellegent and worldwide being. I say this statement now, with proof from a video I have just watched about a man called Matt Harding who needed one dance move and dedication from the heart to go around the world dancing and creating joy to those around him. Matt started off with a random idea to dance terribly in exotic places on his backpacking trip. Soon enough millions of people knew about his idea and he was offered a sponsorship to continue his accidental idea around the world. Matt did accept the sponsorship, out of experiment. He wanted to know the if people were looking to connect with the world. To learn about others who have done the same thing. They wanted to expose themselves and show the difference. People joined him in his ridiculous dance in water, in rain, in the cold, and the dangerous. People wanted to enjoy the funny and rare moment of doing a dance out of the blue. Matt was seeking difference. He was searching for differences in personality when someone does something small and hardly important in their lives. He was seeking smiles and laughter on people's faces. To know that people weren't shy or embarassed because everyone else was doing it too was pleasant to Matt. To know that people from all around the world are united and are able to do the same thing was interesting to Matt. Matt said everyone has a caveman brain, which technically, is true but also false since the human race has grown to be more advanced in skills and life. But Matt is still right when he says how much it can hold, or take. How social you can get and how much space there is to fill. Travelling over the world has made him realize many things about humans, their differences and simillarities. He doesn't need to remember everything about everyone. He needs to be general. He needs to observe and soak the information in. Matt has a caveman brain, yes. But a much more advanced one.
I chose this painting of four people who seem to be dancing because it shows difference and simmilarity. You can see they all look different in their own way. But you can also see that they are dancing, if not, they are twirling and swirling like dance, like a metaphor.
