The ISKL Mission Statement.

The International School of Kuala Lumpur provides an exceptional education that challenges each student to develop the attitudes, skills, knowledge and understanding (Silence) to become a highly successful, spirited, socially responsible global citizen.
I feel that adding a silence in a middle of a paragraph will create tension because a silence leaves a person questioning and curious. A person might wonder if the passage is finished or if it will come back to them- if so, when. In this particular paragraph, a person might wonder what all the characteristics a student has can make and become. Silence or Void creates questions and tension - the tension of not knowing. Void is used in many performances and it strengthens the audience's focus and awareness of their surroundings.
